Description & Coverage
Description:

Artificial intelligence is transforming English language learning and teaching by reshaping how students acquire knowledge, how teachers facilitate instruction, and how educational systems adapt to new technologies. Its ability to personalize learning offers opportunities for greater accessibility and improved outcomes, yet it also raises concerns about privacy, bias, and unequal access. The integration of AI intersects with cultural and social factors, influencing identity, equity, and participation in global education. Addressing these dynamics is essential to ensure that AI-driven language education fosters inclusivity, ethical practices, and long-term positive impacts on learners and society.

The Sociology of English Language Teaching and Learning in the Age of AI explores the sociological aspects of English language learning and teaching with AI. This book examines the development of more equitable and effective English language education practices. Covering topics such as sociology, AI, and English language education, this book is an excellent resource for academics, researchers, educators, and policymakers interested in the fields of English language education, sociolinguistics, and educational technology.
