Intern Positions
IGI Global Scientific Publishing is seeking motivated and energetic individuals to work as part-time (flexible hours, no more than 20 hours per week) interns for multiple departments within our company.
Qualified candidates should have high attention to detail, be able to meet established deadlines, and work well independently. All interns will need to possess excellent written and verbal skills.
We welcome experience in the following areas: copy editing and proofreading, online research, data mining, human resource management, public relations, marketing, graphic design, programming, accounting and finance, and project management.

Executive Personal Assistant
IGI Scientific Publishing is currently seeking a highly organized, motivated, and energetic Executive Personal Assistant to support the company’s owners (executives) in both their professional and personal lives. This role requires exceptional multitasking, discretion, and communication skills and will be responsible for managing the executives’ calendars, handling household and personal errands, coordinating travel, overseeing special projects, and serving as a liaison between the company and the executives. The position is based in our New York City office located at 250 Broadway, 6th Floor, New York, NY 10007 and may require occasional travel domestically as well as international.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage complex calendars, including scheduling meetings, appointments, and travel
- Handle all personal and professional appointments for both executives.
- Assist with and coordinate special personal and business projects.
- Plan, book, and manage logistics for business and personal travel.
- Assist with event planning and coordination (personal or professional)
- Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and follow up on action items
- Assist in preparation of presentations, reports, and other business documents

Editorial Assistant (Book Development)
IGI Global Scientific Publishing is immediately seeking an Editorial Assistant to join our fast-paced, cohesive Book Development Team. In this role, you can utilize your skills to support the growth and success of book publications. In this position you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of vetted and well-crafted scientific research content, for both print and digital distribution, according to its planned schedule of publication. You will regularly consult with our authors and editors and coordinate all necessary activities and tasks needed to prepare the materials for our production teams. This position plays a crucial role in engaging our researchers and product preparation. We are looking for a candidate with a collaborative spirit, a “get-it-done” attitude, and a passion for supporting individuals and driving business growth. The individual will be based at the company’s Hershey office.
Position Objective: The Editorial Assistant in Book Development is the primary point of contact for the authors and editors providing the content for IGI Global Scientific Publishing book publications. The Editorial Assistant is responsible for guiding the development process for each project he/she/they is/are responsible for overseeing and answering any questions from contributors and working with those authors and editors to ensure that all projects are completed on schedule.
Essential Functions: - Work with an assigned set of publications, ensuring the successful development of content.
- Serve as a principal liaison to our authors and editors, provide instruction and guidance, as well as employ positive motivational techniques to maintain momentum and engagement.
- Maintain book project schedules and tracking, keeping assigned set of publications running on time.
- Access content in company’s online manuscript submission management system and provide developmental feedback to the authors and editors regularly.
- Utilize project management tracking tools to monitor projects and provide regular reporting.
- Update internal teams on weekly metrics, sharing progress made across all projects.
- Ensure that all content coming in meets ethical and formatting requirements and guidelines.
- Light manuscript editing and formatting may occasionally be required.
Position Requirements and Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications and Journalism, or a related field.
- 1+ years’ experience in an editorial capacity is preferred but not required.
- Experience using computer software such as Microsoft Office and virtual meeting tools.
- Additional consideration will be given to candidates with project management software experience.
- Exceptional organizational skills with proven ability to prioritize multiple daily tasks and long-term projects in order to meet deadlines.
- Professional demeanor paired with strong interpersonal and communications skills (written and verbal).
- Thorough understanding of English grammar and experience with editorial processes.
- Superb attention to detail.
